Allergies in cats are usually caused by environmental allergens, fleas or particular foods. Some common symptoms of cat allergies include excessive scratching, hair loss, inflammation, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea, asthma and other similar symptoms. The mechanism of cat allergy is the same as that of human allergy, that is, hypersensitive response of the immune system in relation to a particular allergen.
