Introduction
German Wirehaired Pointer dogs are medium sized, hard working gun dogs that originated in Germany. They were primarily developed as hunting companions. Certain other names for this breed of dogs are Deutsch Drahthaar, Deutsch Drahthaar, Deutscher Drahthaariger, Vorstehhund etc.
