Irish Setter dogs are high spirited, intelligent and good natured sporting and companion dogs. These fun loving dogs do best under the leadership of experienced as well as novice dog owners with an active lifestyle.
The boisterous, medium to large sized Irish Setters are often not recommended for small children as these dogs can knock them over while playing or hurt them accidentally. Otherwise they are friendly with children.
